The Work of the STW Legacy Network
Barbara Becnel, executor of the Stanley Tookie Williams estate, has established the STW Legacy Network for the purpose of achieving Stan's last wishes. The following are the steps that the estate will take to fulfill those wishes:
1. Donating money to and providing resources (including the Tookie Protocol for Peace) for violence prevention education for special projects, schools, community-based organizations and faith-based groups serving at-risk youth.
2. Improving the literacy of at-risk youth as well as discouraging gang involvement among those youth by donating anti-violence books authored by Stanley Tookie Williams to schools, community-based organizations, and faith-based groups that could otherwise not afford them.
3. Supporting advocacy groups and projects that work to create a fair criminal justice system, including abolishing the death penalty.
